Aviation Experience

 

CURRENT: First Officer - Airbus A320 - Flies domestically and internationally as Co-Captain for major U.S. airline.  Job requires flights into highly-congested airspace, compliance with 14 CFR Parts 91 and 121 and superior technical & customer service skills.  Required skills also include use of highly-automated, computerized flight management systems, and knowledge and the use of oceanic procedures.   

 

Check Airman/Instructor Pilot - Hawker 400XP/BeechJet 400A - Represents FAA Flight Standards District Office (FSDO) as Check Airman.  Instructs corporate jet pilots in all aspects of corporate flight operations under 14 CFR Parts 91 and 135 including classroom and cockpit training for CRM, avionics, performance, ADM, weight and balance, avionics, RVSM, ILS-PRM, aviation weather, flight automation, and flight planning. 

 

Captain - BeechJet 400A.  Performs all aspects of corporate flight operations under FAR Parts 135 and 91 including flight planning and management and instructs the same.  Flying involves flights into highly congested areas, flights in minimum weather conditions, night flying and flights into uncontrolled airspace.  Top pilot for “by name” requests by corporate clients.  Voluntarily contributes to flight department training and safety programs. 

 

Pilot Special Duty – USAF Pilot.   Hand-picked to fill vital role of recruiting career pilots and officers for the Air Force.  Served as special assistant to Vietnam “Flying Ace” General Steve Ritchie.  Coordinated Air Force air show scheduling and logistics, and managed national radio and TV media.

 

T-38 Instructor Pilot.  Trained Air Force and international student pilots in contact, instrument, low-level tactical, supersonic and formation flying.  Performed duties as safety officer, flight commander and training officer.  Scripted, filmed and produced inflight audio/visual learning programs for student pilots.  Top “Q1” rating on all flight exams.

 

C-141B Aircraft Commander.  Flew airland, airdrop and aerial refueling missions in support of high-visibility State Department missions including disaster relief, aeromedical evacuation and presidential support.  Served as senior scheduler for worldwide missions and was first officer of choice for low-level formation operations.
